A visit to the Rwandan Embassy
To kick off the Student Diplomatic Experience program, a courtesy visit was paid to the Rwandan Embassy in Washington D.C. The experience which can be Student Diplomatic Experience considered a remarkable one was hosted by diplomats and staff of the embassy as they toured participants around the embassy building. The event was held on October 6th 2021 and had in attendance about 36 students from various high schools across America. Participants had the opportunity to learn more about Rwanda, the culture and customs, tribes and more importantly, international relations with the United States.
As a part of Legacy Premier Foundation’s mission to foster international relations and partnerships for human capital growth and development, the event presented a major opportunity to showcase the foundation’s efforts towards education and global learning. The founder, Dr Remi Duyile, was also present to accompany the team during the tour. She expressed her sincere gratitude to the embassy and the representatives who handled the touring experience. Dr. Remi also brought her wealth of experience as a multicultural commissioner as well as a UN Ambassador which made the entire event altogether more interactive. The event ended on a colorful note, as the LPF team shared closing moments with staff and diplomats of the Rwandan embassy discussing the vision of the foundation, as well as future projects - particularly in education, cultural exchange and global exchange learning.
